Hi,

Had a search in thr forum but couldn't see any fixes for my problem.

We installed POP grabber on a clients computer. It's running SBS2008, everything seemed to work okay, the mail was pulled down from the POP3 account and distributed properly however exchange sends an NDR to all of the senders even though the mail comes through.

I think it is with the setup there not the actually the pop grabber software. The company has 2 domains the main e-mail comes in via SMTP straight in to exchange that is all fine. However they have another domain using pop3 which is being pulled down from a catchall pop3 account. As I said it download ok and is sent to the correct recipients however exchange sends an NDR saying catchall@<main domain name>.co.uk is not found. The account pop grabber checks is catchall@<2nd domain name>.com

I'm guessing this is something to do with MS Exchange not recognising the 2nd domain name properly hence the NDR however the recipients so indeed recieve the E-mail.

I hope this makes sense, and if anyone can shed some light on this I will be very greatful.

Hello,

this is probably because PopGrabber is trying to send the message also to the catch-all address (catchall@<main domain name>.com) though it does not exist.

To avoid this problem, you must disable the header that contains this address, but leave the headers with the real addresses activated in the global account settins.

For example, if your message headers show this:

...
X-ENVELOPE-TO: real_address@<2nd domain>.com, real_address_2@<2nd domain>.com
X-DELIVERED-TO: catchall@<2nd domain>.com
...

You should disable the X-DELIVERED-TO header.

If you have doubts, please send us the headers to our support email address and we will help you with this.

Please try this changes with a single test account first to make sure all recipients are recognized before disabling the headers in the real server.

Regards,
