I recently purchased and installed the standard version of the popgrabber software.  I initially started with the free but after positive results upgraded.

However, since upgrading I have not been able to successfully run the software; epopgrabberserver.exe service runs at 100% utilization and fails to download the software.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled and blown away the directories to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, JS

Hello,

Can you tell us which PopGrabber Free version you were using before. Both applications are practically identical except for the account limit, but if you were using different versions we can find out what was changed between versions.

Please verify also your Windows event log to see if you have any warnings or error messages from PopGrabber or from the .Net Framework runtime, and make sure you have all .Net Framework 1.1 updates, specially the SP1.  If you still don't find any problems, please uninstall PopGrabber again, check that the service is removed from the service manager (otherwise, you may need to restart your server) and delete everything under the registry key "HKLM\Software\Eclarsys".

After the installation, check that the PopGrabber Service runs under the "Local System" account, or at least an account with read/write permissions on the PopGrabber installation folder.

Hi,

I was using 1.07 (free version) and 1.06 Standard as the purchased version.  I uninstalled and reinstalled 1.06 several times.  Knowing that 1.07 worked, I returned to it--works fine.

I did not see anything in the event log for either windows or popgrabber; thus, it appears some slight difference between the two.

I am running .NET 1.1 - Device Update 4; Windows 2003 Standard SP2

Thanks, JS

Hello,

We have updated the release version to 1.0.8. This new version contains the fixes from version 1.0.7 as well as a new feature to better handle rejected messages.

To download the program, please login to the customer area at https://store.eclarsys.com/login.php

Please let us know if this release solves your problems. There was no release 1.0.7 for the standard version, but this release has the same base code as the free version which was working in your server.

In case this does not help, try reinstalling the .Net Framework SP1 (download at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A8F5654F-088E-40B2-BBDB-A83353618B38&displaylang=en)

Dear support,

The upgrade to v1.08 seems to have resolved my problems.  I did not have to reinstall .NET v1.1!

Thank you, JS
