I will start by saying that I am totally new to Exchange Server and setting up the pop grabber.  I have followed the instructions but cannot send or reveive emails from outlook/exchange.

Does anyone know of some good tutorials for setting up exchange server and pop grabber.

Any help would be gratefully reveived

Hello,

Please check the following Microsoft Knowledgebase article for correct Exchange configuration to receive emails for a specific domain:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/260973

After your server is configured, you only have to tell PopGrabber to redirect the messages to your Exchange server. Then check the log file to see if it is working.

For outgoing email configuration, check the following article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821911

You must have an account from your Internet Provider for outgoing emails, or have a static IP with correctly configured DNS information. Please check with your email provider to see which method applies to you. If you connect using a regular DSL connection you probably have to use a smart host as described in this article.

Hi thanks for the promp rely and the links

I have managed to get the server to send mail to my nhs email account with some success. The problem now is when I reply to the email from my nhs net account. I am not getting any mail deliver errors from my nhs account but certainly not getting any emails in my exchange mailbox.

I did find one error in the smtp settings which was down to bad typing, but I am still getting no joy.  Huh

Do you get any error messages from PopGrabber when downloading messages from this account?

Make sure the default email address (outgoing address) in Exchange is correct (it should be the external email address and should be marked in bold in active directory). If this is correct and you are not getting the messages in Exchange, there must be an error in your PopGrabber configuration (check that you are using the correct POP3 Server, username and password).

Please post the error messages from PopGrabber here so we can help you further.
