Hi anyone using this application in a non-English environment. I am having difficulties where the character set is not recognised by something ( PopGraber or Exchange ) and the accents characters get replaced by others. I am running Exchange 2003 on a Win2K machine. Previously I have tried PopCon and the character sets were preserved.
thanks

Hello,
Please make sure you are using the latest PopGrabber version. This was a problem with a previous release of PopGrabber 1.0.5 but has been corrected in the latest revision.

Hello
I also still have this problem. Since the new version the problems is definitely reduced but some emails still drop some characters.
I tried to narrow it down and it seems that (html) emails with encoding iso8859-1 are handled correctly but with iso8859-15 not
let me now if you need more information.

Could you check what kind of encoding the Server is using?
Check the MIME header, it should look something like this: Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
The 8-bit encoding used by some servers is not supported in the latest PopGrabber Version (older versions transmitted the bytes without interpreting the encoding). Let us know if this is the case, we will try to update the program as soon as possible.

This time it will take a little bit longer but we will update the program to support this 8-bit encoding and will post a message here when the update is ready.

Hello,
Sorry for the delay regarding this issue. We have updated the mail library for 8-bit encoding and are currently testing it to make sure it does not cause any problems. We will update the installer soon and let you know.

We still have the same problems with accents. And the new version has the same problem as before with some emails. Some emails don't download and this causes a lot of emails to pile up on the remote server. I don't have much time now so it is possible that i'll install the previous version and wait until i have more time to deal with this. I just wanted to let you know that i still have problems.

Subject: Re: =?iso-8859-1?b?MjAwOTA1RWLobmUyMDA4MDUyOFNvbGVh?= - Q EBENE MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit User-Agent: Internet Messaging Program (IMP) 3.2.6 X-DCC-Scarlet-Metrics: rago 1390; Body=1 Fuz1=1 Fuz2=1 X-UIDL: !%<!!U#+#!,n\"!cij"! this is a part of the header of an email that still losses all characters with accents. The funny thing is that the subject does contain a character. When viewed in outlook or webmail the character (?) does schow in the subject line. The characters in the body dissapear though. If you need more information you can always ask me. But as i already said in the previous post: i don't have much time no

We could not reproduce the problem. Make sure you are using at least PopGrabber 1.0.6.
If you are not sure which version you are using, uninstall the program, delete all DLL and EXE files in the PopGrabber installation directory (there shouldn't be any, but just in case). Then download the program from our website again.
Is anybody else still having this problem?
