PopGrabber Desired Features

The first Eclarsys PopGrabber version is a simple POP3 to SMTP forwarder. The following features are in the pipeline for the next release:

• Catch-all mailboxes support
• Rules for attachment filtering
• Integration with Antivirus engine

Great product, bought it over the weekend and now we can use Exchange on our SBS server, which means emails are getting backed up and we can use all of Exchange's nice collaboration features.

There are a few features I would like to see in later releases.

1.  SSL support (luckily you have a good write up with ClamMail to get through in the mean time).
2.  I would like some thing on the client side that would allow them to force a "get mail".  I have it set to poll mail every 2mins at the moment, but I'm sure there will be times when there are emails that are 'critical' that the get mail is needed to be forced and I don't want to give a user access to the server.

One thing you might want to do is expand your help to include stuff such as setting up Exchange to work with Popgrabber, as there are a few gotcha's on the way setting it up.

The PopGrabber Professional version will be ready next week. Upgrade for all current customers, and customers who buy the Standard version before May 31st will receive a free registration code for the professional version.
