I've just encounterd another minor issue. The log file in the popgrabber windows stops at 00.19 with an uncomplete line. However the popgrabber is still downloading email messages and the log file in the popgrabber directory contains all the usual information. As i said this is not an major issue for us but i thought you should know.

Thanks, we have already repaired this bug.

We will do further testing before posting the new installer, please let us know if the problem happens again.

I've got the same issue in my SBS2003 R2 SP2 English.
PopGrabber version installed is 1.05 Revision 33505.

PopGrabber is working fine for a couple of days, but then suddenly stops receiving mails. I also noticed that the process EPopGrabberService.exe is having a CPU load of 100%!! So it also has a very bad influence on my server performance.

Hopefully you'll find the issue asap and create a solution for it.

Many thanks in advance, I presume from all SBS2003 users.

Best regards,

Hello

The same thing happend: There is one email message that won't download.

The log file is the same as the last time: it ends with a error while downloading messages.

Would it be possible to make a version that has a build in time out? So that when this happens the other accounts are still beeing processed? That would make the problem a little less annoying.

This is the email thats causing the trouble, If it helps: I think the last message that was causing the trouble had the samen weird X-UIDL header Don't know if this has anything tot do with it or not.:

I also installed the new installer (Rev 39124) on my SBS2003, because this morning my CPU load was 100% again (Popgrabber process) and no mails were downloaded...

I was also seeing this issue but when I manually stopped and started the services for popgrabber all would be fine again.  I wrote a batch file to do this and scheduled it to run every few days, I've not had an issue with it since.

Which version of the program are you using? This problem was corrected in the 1.0.5 Release 39124 and should not happen anymore. If you already have this version or a newer one, can you tell us at what point does it stop).

Hello. I am encountering a problem with popgrabber no longer downloading messages after a few hours
MS Smallbusiness Server 2003, SP2
PopGrabber Free 1.0.6 Build 10230

Installed popgrabber 2008 06 26 @ 15:00. Ran fine for a few hours then stopped
The three accounts used with popgrabber were deleted from mspop3connector, which is still fetching mail for the other 10 or so accounts.

Popgrabber is running on the same server with ms exchange. No other problems have been observed. Currently using task sheduler to run a batch file that restarts the service every 4 hours during business hours so may have more log information after a few days if it happens to stop during after-hours.

PS: isn't successfully misspelled in the log? Smiley

Thanks for the information, we will make some tests and try to reproduce the problem.

And you are of course right about the spelling. We correct this in the next release. Roll Eyes

We are currently migrating the free and standard PopGrabber versions to .Net 2. This new release should correct the problems encountered by some users that cause the service to stop downloading messages.

We will keep you informed as soon as the update is released.
