Hi
We are using the PopGrabber Free on SBS 2003 to download emails from earthlink.net pop server. There are no errors and the service is running. It just does not download emails even though it shows it is runing. I would have to stop and start it againa nd then it works fine. I downloaded and installed this last Saturday morning. Any ideas? I greatly appriciate your help in advance.

Hello,

can you paste the last lines of the logfile? Does the PopGrabber stop logging events or do you still get some information?

The Log file looks normal. It has the normal entries and it just stops at a certain hour, even though the service is running and nothing is out of place. I can log into the server and get a copy of the logs for you in about 2 hours but as mentioned before nothing looks out of place or wrong.

Thanks,

David

If you are using PopGrabber on the same machine as the Exchange Server and using a Spam Filter or SMTP Virus filter please try installing PopGrabber on a different computer and see if the problem persists. We will release a new version in a few weeks which should correct this problem.

Hello,

Please stop the PopGrabber Service and replace your current EPopGrabberService.exe file with this new file. This is the PopGrabber Service executable version 1.0.4 which will be included in an updated release soon.

Hi
The new Service Executable worked for a few days and now it is the same thing again. It just stops. Any ideas? (nothing new in the logs the service shows running but nothing happens)
I stopped the service, start it again and it is working.....

Can you post the last lines of the Debug log before it stops working?

Do you have an antivirus or a software firewall installed?

I have a been using popgrabber standard & popgrabber free on several different servers for 9 months with no problems until now. One of the SBS2003 systems is displaying the same problems Davids is having.
Here is a sample of the log files before the failure & have I have increased the logging level to debug.

Hello,

we will set up a test SBS 2003 installation. We will try to reproduce the problem and get back to you.

I wanted to upgrade our problematic server to the new version of popgrabber, but it does not appear to be available for the standard version. When will this change?

I apologize, I just looked at the filename and assumed it wasn't a new version.

I am having the same problem.

When I upgrade, will the free version retain my product code?
