Email not being downloaded

Hi Folks,

I'm getting the following error in the PopGrabber (free version) log file...

2007-06-11T14:22:22: SMTP Server rejected sender:
2007-06-11T14:22:22: Download for this account will be aborted

and also

2007-06-11T14:28:35: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found
2007-06-11T14:28:35: Download for this account will be aborted

Can anyone give me a clue?? I've checked all the PopGrabber settings and restarted both PopGrabber and the SMTP Virtual server.... but tna.

Hello,

It seems the email has missing or bad headers.  In the first case the sender is missing or invalid, however PopGrabber should normally replace invalid addresses with a temporary one in order to avoid this. Could to post the headers (at least the FROM header and the following line) from the problematic email?

The second error seems to be a DNS problem. Apparently PopGrabber can't find the IP address for the specified POP3 or SMTP server. Please check if you can ping both the SMTP and POP3 severs defined in the account with the problem, and also make sure that you are not using a NetBIOS name instead of the qualified DNS name.

How can I resolve this problem?

means your SMTP server has some rules which reject emails from a specific sender. You need to configure your SMTP server to accept all emails and do the filtering afterwards.

2007-06-11T14:28:35: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found
2007-06-11T14:28:35: Download for this account will be aborted

This means you wrote a wrong SMTP or POP3 server address.
