Exchange 2007 Transition

Question for Tech Support...

I am preparing to transition a single server Exchange 2003 organization over to a single server Exchange 2007 organization and have three questions.

1. Is POPGrabber Pro compatible ?

2. Can I use two installations of POPGrabber Pro temporarily while I move mailboxes from one server to the other.
    The current exchange 2003 server uses a licensed version(1.0.1.264) of  POPGrabber Pro to get all internet mail from a hosting company.
    I would like to transition gradually to minimize disruptions should any problems arise and in doing so I figure I would need two installs of POPGrabber unless you have a   
    version that supports multiple servers.
3. Can I reinstall the Pro version that I already purchased for this temporary transition without needing to purchase again ?

Hello,

1. Yes, all PopGrabber versions (Free, Standard and Professional) are compatible with all Exchange versions.

2. Yes, you can use two installations, you just have to make sure they are installed in different computers (installing on the same computer in different folders will not work). We do not have a version that supports redirecting messages to multiple servers.

3. Of course. You can install the same license in the new server during the transition.

By the way, to transfer the accounts to the new server:

1. Install PopGrabber Professional first on the new server.
2. Before starting the PopGrabber Service or opening the administration console, copy the ProAccounts.bin and MailHistory.db3 files from the old server to the new one.
3. Open the administration console, the service will start and the accounts will be loaded.
4. Do not forget to enter the license information in the new server, it will not work until you do.
